I just received my unit a week ago 1/20/17. Never knew what it felt like to have a baby elephant use your chest for a trampoline before. My heart is enlarged and my left ventrical is large "abnormal anatomy". My surgery took much longer than normal as they could not get the 3rd lead into the left ventrical to stay. They did get it into the vein once. I have follow up with the Dr on the 9th of Feb, at wich time we will discuss a surgeon that will implant the 3rd wire. I am not worried, just wondering if this has happened to others here. My ejection fraction was at 20%, and I know the defibulator is in place now to prevent cardiac arrest, but untill the 3rd wire is in I am still very fatigued. Was basically just wanting to say hello, and wondered if anyone had insight on the surgery to place the lead.

HCM?

Do you have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy? I had to have a lead replaced 4 weeks after initial implant. They cut me open at the ICD site and put me under a general anesthetic, so I now have two scars for one implant.
Are you on any medications? They could be causing the fatigue.
