Hi. Since having my PM fitted on the 28th my underarm on the left side has been super itchy! I've itched it but then panicked. Can I dislodge the wires by itching/rubbing my underarm?
Thanks
Jen

They aren't going anywhere! One end is screwed into the device, the other end has now grown into your heart.

Frequent "playing" the PM can cause the leads to break or dislodge. Not common, but it does happen. Call twiddler syndrome.

A healing wound itching is completely normal--but do try not to scratch, not least because you are carrying germs to the wound by touching it. And the more you scratch it, the more irritated you keep it, and so the longer it will itch.
Try cool compresses or even an ice pack. Also, in a pinch try scratching a different part of the body--away from the wound. Sounds crazy, but sometimes it works.
