Surgical site discomfort

Hi! I'm a new member....had my pacer put in June 1 2016.  Since then I find it uncomfortable to wear a bra or anything that rubs against the scar.  Will this go away? Has anyone tried that bra strap attachment? It's seems very pricey to me. Thanks!

Hello,

I just had my pacemaker put in last Wednesday so I'm not alot of help just yet but I looked at that item also.  I did order the seat belt attachment though. (Hasn't came in yet).  Please let me know if you order it and what you think.

Hope you find some comfort :)

Bra strap

One of the nurses at the hospital told me to just loosen the strap on that side. For the most part that little obvious idea has been the most successful. (implantede in 2009). As far as the seat belt in the car,  I have been putting a little throw pillow over me and put the seat belt over the pillow. I feel pretty safe in case an air bag ever did deploy, it wouldn't hit the devise, so that's a bonus. I still can feel the pacemaker, but I have a friend who has it only a short time and she can't feel it all . Hope everything goes well for you.

I found out I can get away with an old strapless tube top right now. My implant was October 12th. I have waffle boobs when I take it off though. I have been thinking of cutting one strap off of a cotton sports bra. Has anyone tried that? I wore a loose tank top that rubbed, this weekend I an going to try my form fitting one that won't move around as much.
