I had my pacemaker inserted in August 2016 and i am frequently experiencing burning sensations in the area of the leads. this causes me anxiety, and my blood pressure is through the roof. I've never had problems with either my heart or blood pressure. pacemaker was inserted for sick sinus syndrome. i am really concerned and would like to know if others experience this and is this a normal feeling, and how long this will continue to happen.. worse yet is there a chance that i am going to die from this. be honest, i can take it.

Call your Device Clinic

I also had my PM put in in August. I just went earlier this week for my 2nd device check and one of the things they did was check the leads.
I don't think you should be having the pain you describe. Call your device clinic and or your EP/Cardiologists office. I'm sure they will want to check this out for you. They should be able to check your leads and get you some answers. You should be feeling good and pain free! Let us know what you find out!
Also had Burning

I also had one overwhelming burning sensation a week after surgery as well as feeling of strong hits of electrical shocks.Called EP doctor, they did a remote check and then had me come in to test leads. They checked the lead impedence and said the burning was nerves healing from surgery. Scared the heck out of me and anxiety was off the chart. Two months out for surgery now and I am feeling fantastic in large part due to all of the help and input from this forum.
You know you're wired when...
Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.
