Hi,
I'm a 31 year old woman who had a Metotronic dual chamber pacer put in for Bacardia and 2nd and 3rd degree heart block. I had it put in July 21st of this year. They've adjusted my pacer three times already. I'm so tired all the time and I feel like I can never catch a breath. I was told I would feel better after this and I don't. My quality of life has really gone down. I went to my cardiologist two days ago and he said I'm fine. The checked my pave maker and said they couldn't adjust it anymore. I'm not sure what else to do.

Is your pacemaker demand pacing or rate responsive pacing?

I honestly don't know the answer to that. I should look into it.

Did you get a copy of the device check report? See what percent your being paced and make
sure your not in AFib.
Demand or rate responsive

With bradycardia, I would imagine you are rate responsive. Find out what your ADL rate is, your upper limit, your lower limit, and other information. Thank you.

The pace maker clinic I go to has never given me any reports, but I will ask for them. Thank you. I'm getting a new cardiologist.

I've had my Medtronic pacemaker since July 7 of 2015 and still feel like crap! doctors say I'm fine have asked tech for copy of report says I wouldn't understand it have call Medtronic and they are no help. Lack of energy, shortness of breath, ECT. On my last dr visit I was told that maybe it's in my head.....I have no life!
I'm sorry.

I'm very sorry to hear that, I know exactly how you feel. I'm going in to talk to a new cardiologist, hopefully that will work. I keep being told its my anxiety.

I was told today that my pacer won't make me tired by my pace maker clinic. I've been the most tired I've ever been since they put it in me. Does anyone feel this?

i had a duel wire PM installed 8 Months ago and have been tired ever since.
like most people I was told that I would have twice the energy when I got out of the Hospital. I complained about being tired on checkup two weeks later was told I need a stent.
Im asking how can I need a stient two weeks later and how come it wasn't found before. I'm still tired and have shortness of breath at times

I do too, all the time. They've adjusted my pacemaker at least 6 times and I still feel this way. They told me I may just feel when the pacer kicks in more than others do. I'm sorry to hear about the stent, I hope that fixes it for you. I have an appointment for an arythmia clinic in December. Hopefully they figure things out.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
