Dear Friends, It seems like I just get an answer about my Pacemaker and something new Comes Up! I was working really Hard today, when I felt weak and kind of wierd! I hadn't hydrated Myself and was working in the Hot Sun! Normally, I don't feel anything strange since I got My Pacemaker, but today was different! I felt odd, and stopped for a rest, when I felt My Pulse and it seemed irregular and didn't seem to kick up the BPM! I drank some water and drove to the store. I went home and it seemed like My pulse was now fast! I took My BP and Pulse, it was high at 147/74 with a pulse of 100 BPM! I called the Doctor and the Monitoring Company! I am going in on Thursday to get checked. They didn't seem concerned, so I called the Monitoring People and asked for them to check My device! They did, but they said if there was a Problem, they would call Me Back! They haven't! I am a little concerned! I feel better and My Pulse is now OK, but I realized that even though I am being monitored, there isn't always someone to address these Concerns! Is it just My Doctor and Monitoring Company or is this standard procedure? I had asked about the rate response feature and they said Mine was turned off! Some of you responded! Well maybe I need this feature now turned on! Any suggestions would be Appreciated! Thanks, Pastor Mike

Monitoring

I have home monitoring from the Cleveland Clnic. When they see something of concern they call me. I got one of those calls Monday morning. I knew I had been flipping in and out laley, but the call said I had been in constant A-fib for the last 2 days. They would contact my doctors office and if something was of concern the doctors office would call me. They wanted to be sure I was taking my Xeralto. I haven't heard from the doctors office and I probebly won't since I have an appointment Septermber 28.
That's how home monitoring works,
Jerry

Thanks for Your responses! I talked to the Doctor's office and I am going in on Thursday! I called the Monitoring Company and had them run a test. They said, they could find no problems! I am not sure what's going on!
Dehydration!!

Dehydration will raise your heart rate. It can do all sorts of weird things especially if you were out in the sun. My heart rate will go over 100 out in the sun especially if I haven't gotten enough water. In fact, just the other day it was up to 110 and I was sitting down. I went home drank water, rested and in about an hour all was well.
Just to reassure myself I made my husband take his pulse rate as well...yep 102. As to the BP did you take it just the one time? I take it once in each arm and if I'm nervous about my heart rate being up I know my BP will go up.
You know you're wired when...
You take technology to heart.

From your previous post, it sounded like you do need the RR turned on. SOP, well it all depends. I do not have (nor do I want) a monitoring device. No one has ever offered me one and that's fine by me.
Since you are new at this I would consult your doctor.
