I am at home, very sore and a lot of pain & pressure feeling on site.. He put the PM pretty close to my armpit for cosmetic reasons, since I'm a 23 yr old girl.. ;) my pain meds don't seem to be touching the pain. But other than that, all is well! I'm glad it's over, but yet still can't believe I actually had it done! Hoping this pain passes fast!

Glad you are home.

They gave me the option of close to the armpit. I chose not to. He did say the recovery was a little harder. Hope you are doing well today. I thought the pain was bad the first few days. It has been 8 days now for me and the incision no longer hurts. Ice packs really help! Keep us posted on your progress!

Ice packs??

They were very adamant I not get the site wet AT ALL.. They said it needs to stay completely dry. How can I use ice packs but still keep it dry?

I had these bags filled with corn that I got at a festival. You can keep them in the freezer. They were cold but dry.

Gel Reusable Ice Packs got me through the first few days.  Mine came from a chiropractors office.

Glad to hear you are doing well!!  Holding a dry washcloth over the incision site while using your right hand to wash your hair is a little tricky but does work good!! I was told I could take a shower the first day.  I had a waterproof dressing over my incision site as I'm sure you do too.

Washing hair

Washing hair was difficult. I just skipped it for 4 days and then went to the salon. I thought shaving under the arms was most difficult. Difficult and afraid to lift left arm enough and hurt to much to reach the other one. Luckily that gets easier towards the end of the first week.
