I've had many complications with my pacemaker and wires mainly with my veins.
My pm is fitted because i had a sinus arrest of 29 seconds 5 years ago aged 30.
I've had blood clot after blood clot in my subclavian vein and had my pm and wires replaced for smaller ones 18 months ago but the last few days I've not felt myself and have soreness (always tender) around my pm site area plus all my veins are very prominent. This has been an ongoing problem for me and every time I seek medical attention everything shows I'm fine. I'm going the doctors again at 3.30 because I don't feel right and know my own body. Can anybody advise me please

Thank you for taking the time to read and reply to my comment I appreciate it. I've been to my doctors and she's given me a blood test to check for clotting again plus other things. My right arm which is the side my pacemaker is on is 2cm bigger than my other arm and slightly off colour. I've got to go back again in the morning but if I'm honest it's the same rigmarole I have every time I go. It's just frustrating
Many thanks though for listening

Believe me, I understand your frustration. I am sure you are tired of going to the doctor without getting satisfaction. That gets really old in a hurry. Thing is, you have to preserver. I think that you should be pleased that your tests come back showing nothing is wrong, but at the same time, I understand the frustration. Your situation may be quite complicated. If after giving your Doc a fair chance to successfully address your issues and/or at least provide a reasonable explanation, then I would try getting another Doc. If necessary, you should seek out the best cardiologist and hospital that he/she is associated with. There is nothing wrong with getting a second opinion. If nothing else, it should give you more peace of mind. Try not to let it get you down. Keep at it until you get the satisfaction you deserve.

I really appreciate you replying and taking the time to read my comments. Sometimes that's all someone needs. It is frustrating and difficult at times the last 3 days have just been a struggle but on paper there's nothing wrong.im back at the doctors today so on time will tell.
Honestly thank you for your time
repeated complications

Hi! Gkcmxx,
Wow, you have had quite a few complications. I think I sense some question in your post if your current care is quality care. Change can be difficult, and we tend to become complacent rather than go through it, but we cannot do that with our health....too risky. Thinking a second opinion is perhaps what you need for the sake of your health, and if nothing else, your peace of mind. What one doctor does not know, another one will....no one doctor knows all for everything. Do not hesitate, certainly not feel guilty for getting a second opinion. Also, have you had a recent general physical with lab work? Are all of your doctor's working as a team for your best health care and all of your doctors know any an all medications you take. I hope you are doing much better soon.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
Advice

My advice is that the only one that can give you a definitive answer is your doctor. I think you are right to know and trust the signals your body is giving you. However, you have been through much, so it would seem pretty normal that you wouldn't feel right. As long as you are concerned, don't be bashful about seeing your doctor as often as you need to. If it give you comfort, then you should continue to seek out answers.
I wish I could be more helpful, but it is difficult to know what might be bothering you.
