I am about to have my pacemaker replaced in September. I need to know what to expect. It will by my shoulder. Nervous doesn't seem to be the right word.

I can only 2nd Tracy's comment. I just got my 4th PM last October. I think it is normal to be a little nervous, but afterwards I always feel a little foolish, because it is a piece of cake!
Kinda like fallin off a log..............................
You know you're wired when...
Youre officially battery-operated.

Try to concentrate on how youre able to be active again and feel normal, rather than on having a machine stuck in your body.
nothing to it

If your leads are still good, and they generally outlast several generators, there's really nothing to it! They go in the same place as before so it's scar tissue. Most of the soreness the first time was from creating the pocket, and most of the restrictions the first time were from the new leads. With a replacement it's just a matter of the incision healing and the soreness is only a fraction of what it was before. I got my 5th in Feb. I was headed home by 11:30, stopped for lunch on the way, came home and did some work email then took a nap. I left for vacation less than a week after two of my replacments. Easy peasy :)
