It's been awhile since I last posted. I like the new look of the site! I got my pm September 13, and had some problems. I believe the cardiologist was inexperienced. I suffered nerve damage but also pm sits on a nerve. After a year my gynocologist (no one else would believe me about the pain) prescribed neurotin. It worked great, but I'm building up a tolerance and the device and the wires are very pronounced under my skin. Tomorrow I go in for a "repositioning" which means it will be placed under a muscle. I pray this will reduce the pain to allow me to get off the meds. I know there are no guarantees, but I'm hopeful and very grateful I found a doctor to do this. (I dismissed the original cardiologist). I will post again soon. Wish me luck! This is such a great site and am so grateful for all the wonderful support.

Good luck and I'm confident things are going to get better. My PM is 4 weeks old and I'm working on a few issues. What I am learning is this is a work in progress, more for some than others. Please post after your procedure and let us know how it went.
You know you're wired when...
Your device acts like a police scanner.

reposition

Good luck! Will be interested to hear how it goes. I have to go in August to have mine repositioned. Also to try and get it under the muscle. And one lead is too close to diaphragm, so going to try and reposition that too. Had it since March 30 of this year.
