Sometimes I still get that lightheaded, dizzy, "palpitaty" feeling that I got before I had the single lead pacemaker implanted for SSS about 4 months ago. I am also still a bit exercise intolerant and I get super dizzy after bending over or standing up sometimes. Everyone said I would feel great and be able to run regularly again after I got the pacemaker, but I just don't. I have been back once to have it checked and the Dr. assures me I'm fine. I feel breathless, weak, and tired. I ran a marathon last January........I guess those days or over.

I really hate to go to the clinc and ask stuff.....they act like it's this huge bother and I'm kind of silly. But you are right. I need to go and ask anyway. I'm afraid I have PM Syndrome actually. But they told me to not even think that......but I have textbook symptoms.

Wow! You're the first who has exactly same symptoms as me post pm surgery. I have mobitz 11 heart block, therefore two leads. I kept going back for a check and also was told everything is fine. They couldn't explain why I feel like before the implant. It was done on March 14, and it lasted for 7 weeks, approx. Then started to feel a bit better for a while till it started again. This was all away from my home town as we were away for the freezing cold months and it was an emergency. Couldn't travel back to Canada, but...as soon as we returned, I went to the clinic and although he said it's working like it should, he made some adjustments, telling me that I'll be the judge as he can't possibly know if I will feel better or worse...to come right back if I don't feel good. Thank G-D I finally feel like my old self. Mostly. Only feel it a bit if I overdo stuff. I also always seem to hear from so many people that I'll be able to run a marathon right after surgery. So, all that being said, go to your pacemaker clinic and tell them to try different settings, and if you have to keep going till they get it right, so be it. Oh, one more thing. They had set up my pm to do a test automatically every eight hours. I asked him to stop that and he had no problem with that. He obliged and said he would test it manually when I next come in, hopefully only in November. Not sure what this test was testing, but bottom line is I finally am okay. You will soon be just fine also. It takes some of us longer than others. Best of Luck!
