2 weeks since implant

Still getting used to PM. Still get tired about 3pm. Went back to teaching 2 days after surgery... They told me light duty...thought they meant lifting. Even went on an overnight field trip 3 days after surgery with my 3rd graders...my wife wasn't happy. My kids are great though....they carried all my stuff. Still feels like a heavy like feeling in my chest. No issues...just a strange sensation. Is this normal? I am s 55 year old male...retired MSgt...teaching in my 12 year.

Normal

Hi. Believe what you are experiencing is normal. I mean, think about it, we are carrying around metal boxes in our chests! Have had my ICD implanted since 2005 and was replaced in 2015. I still feel it in my chest. Always have and, judging by the amount of time that has passed since my initial implant, probably will.

I hope you can learn to live with it. Promise you it took awhile for me to adjust to it.

Sending you strength.

Nicole
