Chest pain

First off, I have had my PM for over two months and for the most part everything has gone well, so this pain I had last night and this morning was very surprising to me. After I got through the fist 6 weeks and reading comments left here, I felt really good everything was going fine, and it still may be, but I wanted to ask if others have gone through what I did last night and this morning and if it's PM or heart related at all.

While watching TV last night I felt a tightness light pressure under and below where my PM is located. It feels like someone is pressing down really hard on my body and everytime I take a breath it is a bit worse. No I don't think I am having a heart attack (never had one so not sure there). Haven't been lifting heavy objects and don't think I have strained that area. I was able to get to sleep later and this morning it was fine until after I fed all the animals I see it's back, but not as bad as last night. Heart rate is running about 85 and BP is very good... I will watch it today of course but just wondering if others have gone through something like this

Thank You

Get Yourself Checked Over, NOW

I would go into the ER and be examined. I am assuming you are male, if by chance you are female, call an ambulance, we ladies tend to present differently, a heavy chest pressure is frequently a serious warning.

Having a PM just keeps your heart in rhythm, you might have something else going on with your heart that is not being addressed via your PM.

I needed a Stent, felt okay, just noticed my lips were blue when I caught a glimpse of myself in a mall mirror. Then I looked at my finger nails, they were blue also. Dumb me, made an appointment with a cardiologist for two days out. I should have gone into ER, really should have called a Meat Wagon to come get me. Anyway, the cardio guy wigged out, scheduled me for the Stent, all went well, recovered quickly and here I am 12 years later.

SO, USE GOOD SENSE, GET YOURSELF INTO ER. Normally the ER has all the equipment to give you a basic check over. Unfortunately somethings are intermittent and therefore require more testing to find the problem.

Chest Pressure is a warning, not to be ignored unless you want to risk some major medical problem.

Please do as I suggest, not as I did.
