Hi, everybody!
1. My PM was set at 70 b/m. The observed range: 75 â 93.
Yesterday it was 68, first time below 70. Should I worry?
2. From the first day after procedure, I have pain in my color bone right above PM. 7 month later â the same. Intensity of the pain varies. Is it common?
3. Sleeping on the left side is difficult, always was, but now it worsened significantly. I wake up because of burning sensation in the heart area. Could it be PM related.
I'll be very grateful to anybody who would help me out. Many thanks.
Yuri.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.
1.) A pulse of 68 compared to the setting of 70 is negligible. My lower pulse is often different than it should be, but only by a beat or two.
2.) I have also experienced the pain above the collar bone. It has come and gone without incident. I always chalked it up to a pinched nerve, but I'm not really sure. I figure that if it has been going-on for so long without any other negative impact (symptom), then not to worry.
3.) Sleeping on the left-side I also do. I've always wondered why I do that, because when I turn I can feel my PM move. However, been doing it for 30 years without a problem. So I'm not stopping now. I can't imagine that the pain in the area of your heart is related in any way, but it wouldn't hurt to ask the doc that one.
I have to tell you that when one has a PM and there are any unusual or unexplained feelings that can be related in any way to the PM, we will worry (perhaps I should only speak for myself). I think it is human nature. Perhaps some are, but it doesn't mean that there is reason for concern. If the concern sticks with you, then you should talk to your doc about it so that you can have piece of mind.
Wishing you the best,
David

Reduced HR

Depending on the model of PM that you have and the reason for it there are several adjustment that can allow the HR to drop below the "minimum". There are lower minimums on those settings.
One is a resting setting where if it detects a slowing HR, but continuous normal rhythm will allow the HR to slow some more. That is to better mimic normal HR when just setting.
There is a also a sleep setting, but that is based on an internal clock setting. But it could have been set wrong.
But ask about this during you next visit.
