Hello
This Friday will be 1 month since surgery for myself. Lately my shoulder area where my pacemaker was inserted has been very tender, sore & I've had pain. The pain would best be described as being punched really hard in the arm & feeling a bruise set in. Is this normal recovery pain? I also had the flu during recovery & that really wore me down & caused lots of chest pain from vomiting. I'm just unsure if maybe I pulled something in that whole process.

I would call your doctor and report the symptoms and see what they say. Sorry you are having problems. Good luck and do take it easy. Keep us posted.

Just to be on the safe side, call and ask to be seen. You could have done something while you were sick, it could be because you were sick you didn't move around enough and the shoulder is starting to freeze up. Odds are it's muscular, not the pacer, but you want to find out what it is so you know how to treat it.
