So I am 6 days post surgery implant of a new pacemaker and I am experiencing sharp shooting pain in my lower forearm and wrist when I extend my arm and try to use it. It doesn't happen all the time but frequently enough that I wonder what might be happening related to the surgery? anyone experience pain like this? how did you resolve it? how long? I called my doctor and she said that I should give it 24-48 hours to see if it gets better.
thanks

Gotta give it time

We can't tell from here what was done during surgery. I didn't look at the pacemaker implant surgery video until two years after the fact. Winced through the whole thing. Glad I was unconscious during the implant procedure. Most aren't I know, but mine was different. Had a lot of swelling. Things may have been rough for you.
Post implant had pain going up into the left jaw. The only thing I could think was pain due to the swelling. The swelling gradually went down and the pain with it.
Point being, it's only been six days. You don't know if your body is taking a little longer to adjust post surgery. If you aren't experiencing any other problems I wouldn't get too concerned at this point.
Hope everything else is going well for you.
