HI everyone, I just joined this forum. I was in the hospital for chf when the hospitalist , heart doc and heart surgeon came in to my room and said I needed a pacemaker. WHAT!!!!!!. This was last wednesday and they wanted me to stay in hospital and they would do it Friday morn. I said no , I wanted to go home and either do it after Christmas or on Friday if they insisted. They did not like it, and it took a while for them to agree to me going home and back in Friday 8 a.m. for surgery. They finally had to use general antisetic and I went straight to icu, they discharged the next evening from icu to home, seemed strange to me, but, oh well.Felt fairly well the first day home.It has gone down hill from then to now. My back hurts, can't get gauze stuff off, dizzy and threw up. Does anyone else have pain in their back????? Judy
