I accidently hit the pacmekaer on the side of a closet door when bending down to reach something off the closet floor.I felt a tearing sensation in the skin area around the pacemaker and now it has been sore since I di it aprox 4 days ago. There is small lumps in my pacemaker skin site where I hurt it.Has anyone done this and is it anything to worry about.Isnt it just possibly nothing to worry about?

Injury to skin over pacemaker.

The pacemaker boxes are almost indestructible.
It is possible to tear some of the fibrous tissue around the pacemaker- this will heal by itself unless gross.
The lumps on the skin are most likely to be little areas of bleeding under the skin from the compression force . The blood clots formed are of no consequence and usually disappear with time ( if large, rarely they can become fibrous or calcified).
It usually takes about 1-2 weeks for bruising to resolve, depending on the depth and size.
Kind regards,
Selwyn

My pacemaker is the best thing that every happened to me, had I not got it I would not be here today.
Since you are still walking around....

Since you are still walking around with just some pain, it looks like you're in pretty good shape. There is a story that has gone around the forum where supposedly someone had their PM hit by a bullet so these machines are pretty rugged. You shouldn't have to worry about physical damage to the PM itself.
As for the lumps, I'd schedule an appointment with your EP and let him/her tell you what they think.
Other suggestions on the forum in the past have been to talk to a plastic surgeon since they have more experience on the skin side.
Hurting for four days after getting the site hit with a hard bump is not out of line. There will probably be some bruising too.
Like I said, I'd get the EP to check it out and see if need to see a plastic surgeon.
Hope everything else is going well for you.
