Pacemaker Removal

It's Sailfish again, went to see cardiologist today, asked him about exercise. He stated "just don't overdue it", however he would give me a script for a few visits for the hospital fitness center. Then my wife voiced her concerns about the coiling of the leads. Thankfully he brought up the films and said "I have never seen that before". He is going to make a referral to a specialist for possible removal since my atrial is 2% paced and Vent. <1%. He mentioned long term complication of blood clots where it is coiled. I really value any advise and guidance. Thank you

Outside typical

Based upon your comments, it appears your situation is way outside the typical implant situation. Since we aren't doctors, don't have access to your medical information, and this is an abnormal situation, I don't see how we would be able to give you any advise.

If the leads are coiled in a non-typical fashion, I'd take the advise of your EP.

Advice

The only advice I would give is if you feel like you're being heard, or you don't completely understand what the docs are telling you, or you just don't feel good about what you are being told, don't be afraid to go for a second or third (or more) opinion.

I'm really glad your wife spoke up. You need to go to each visit with a list of questions/concerns, and don't leave until they have been addressed.
