Wired feelings

I had my pm implanted last Friday and since then I have felt a weird feeling. Like someone is flicking the inside of my ribs the same time as my heart beat whenever I my heart rate goes up like when I climb stairs or run. I can even see my chest jumping whenever this happens. I don't think that it can be from my pm firing because it is set to pace when I reach 40bpm and this happens when my heart rate accelerates. Has anyone else had this feeling?

pacing

When in doubt, call and ask to be seen. The pacer has a minimum setting, but it also has a function that detects activity and raises your rate if it doesn't go up on its own, and it will also pace the ventricles if the atria beats but the ventricles do not follow, whatever rate the atria is doing at the time, not just when it drops under 40. So, yes, it could easily be pacing. They may need to adjust the settings, or possibly confirm the leads have not shifted.

Thumping feeling

I had a thumping feeling for about 4 months, and it finally disappeared. Dr. said it would, and thank goodness he was right. I guess it took awhile for the pacer wire to heal.
