Depends on how long you've had your device.

These motions are not an issue for leads that are considered "chronic"...AKA you've had them for a while. Calcium and scar tissue build up around the wires inside of the vein and .... for lack of better explanation "super glue" them in place. This takes time. Most people say a month, but with excessive overhead motions like this, I would caution you all the way out to 3-4months after implant. So if you've had your device for at least that long, go for it....but anything less, I would say wait a little while.

Pain relief

I had the same problem but in addition to that I was operated on for a Lung Lobetomy on the left side which included opening up the ribs to get to the tumors.
After the surgeries it was almost impossible to raise my left arm it was so painful.

However, one morning the show Classical Stretch also known as the Esmond Technique was showing on the television. The lady was stretching her arms and she said "one cell at a time". This greatly interested me so I tried it and within 2 weeks there was an amazing difference. I was able to lift my arms without pain plus many other benefits.

Please try and receive relief. Starlight

This is the first time I've used this site after my recent registering for membership. I've had my pacemaker about 2 years (I think) so the questions and answeers on the arm exercises were right on target, and very helpful, even though i have been doing all the exercises for some time. (I was beginning to question if I should continue over time as the more done (over tieme) possibly the greater risk, but these comments seem to suggest the opposite is the case, the more done (over time) the less risk.
