chest pain with pacemaker

Hello: I am 67, in good shape except for postural hypo tension and brady cardia (resting heart rate down to below 40 and max rate about 105. Had a Biotronix pacemaker installed a month ago. Now I have chest pain while walking. The biotronix techs have tweaked on the software several times but the pain persists.

This week I had them pace me at 50, but no pacing acceleration. Climbing stairs with no pain, but max heart rate only 81.

Last week I went to the emergency room with chest pain, was admitted, and nuclear stress test and ultrasound were normal. Doctors have mostly ruled out clogged arteries as a possible cause.

Anybody have a similar experience? Any ideas?

1. Could the pacemaker somehow be "fighting" with my natural rhythm?
2. Could the leads to the heart possibly be reversed? either by the surgeon, or some factory defect? If that is the case, is there possibility of damage to my heart valves?

Chest pain is exercise related, with maximum intensity about the same as a bad tooth ache.

hi I had my CRT-D implanted last month and I'm experiencing chest pain almost every day I have an appointment next Monday the 28 to see an specialist on gastroenterologist I hop he can help me because recovering from the surgery and having chest pain it's to difficult.

...is a dangerous thing .
This, I think I know .. a PM can control the heart beats, at rest .. but when exercising ???? maybe either too fast or too low ..You would have to know what the pulse is at moment of pain ...
