Had the pacemaker put in on Aug. 14, and in the last couple of weeks besides not feeling any better I keep getting sick to my stomach and actually barfing. Is this what I have to look forward too? Can they take it out and just take my afib chances.?

Get yourself checked out

The reactions you've posted aren't normal for a PM insertion. You've got something else going on. If your EP won't see you, get yourself checked into an ER. You won't die from embarrassment if it's something simple. But if something else is going on it needs to be checked out.
As for giving up the PM because of afib, don't think you want to go that way. It's one of the accepted methods for taking care of afib.
I'm on rate control. If they don't treat my afib, my heart can go faster and faster until it fails, and it kills me. If they give me drugs to slow down the heart so I don't go into afib, my heart can go so slow that it stops, and it kills me. So I'm between the proverbial rock and a hard place.
The solution is to give me drugs to slow down my heart so I don't go into afib (as often), then use the pacemaker to bring my heart back up to a workable speed.
I'm guessing they have you on rate control too. Next time you're talking with your EP, I'd get clarification. And, of course, if you are on rate control, you'll definitely need the PM.
I'd get the barfing checked out quickly. No one wants to live that way.
Nausea and pacemaker

I read what you guys have said... I got my pacemaker 2 days ago... not on any additional medications. But I get bouts of nausea. I called and spoke to the clinic nurse and she was surprised and told me to take gravol if it helps. It helps a bit. Hopefully this gets better.
You know you're wired when...
You invested in the Energizer battery company.

Not Normal

Your nausea is not a symptom that is at all common. This needs to be checked out by your doctor ASAP! Hospitals are known for transmitting various infections to patients. One of the most common infections plaguing hospitals is C Diff and that causes nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It would be easy for you to become dehydrated and your PM leads and incision sure don't need all of that straining etc.
It is enough to adjust to your PM without feeling so lousy!
Please get some help and see your doctor right away. I suspect your nausea is not related to your PM and that things will level out for you with the evaluation and treatment of those symptoms. Then you can start on the road to feeling improved health as you adjust to your PM and your afib is controlled. Please keep us informed.
