A little nervous...

I just had my PM put in May of this year - 2015. It's a medtronics dual chamber. I was cleared after two weeks to begin my pilates and exercising, but with limited range of movement and no weight excess of 5lbs until after 6 weeks.
I started increasing my movement in my left arm recently and now I have sharp burning pains in my left side at the PM site. The PM site looks great, incision is not red, or warm to the touch. It's just a sharp, burning pain throughout the day and night.
I called the doctor and they rechecked the PM and everything is working fine. They said the Vein that is feeding the main leed is irritated and swollen. I could try bloodthinners to reduce swelling or not do anything with my left arm and see if I get better in 2 weeks.
Anyone ever had this, and will I ever be able to return to pilates, yoga, swimming?
Besides this hiccup, I have to say I never realized how bad I was feeling until after surgery. The pacemaker has made my energy level go from 1 or 2 to a 8 at minimum. My surgery was emergency, I flat lined during a tilt table test. Thankful to be alive and I am very grateful to have this site for information.
Thankyou!
Chris

Thank you for the suggestions, I will ask my doctor about the anit-inflammatories.
I am still moving my arm and shoulder, even though I get these sharp pains.

It's frustrating, I really thought by now I would be back to normal. Time heals right???

The body heals itself , but

I think, the older a man is the more time to heal .. I am 75 and , flabby in my opinion .. I am certain that well planned exercise can speed up the process ..
Flat lined ? no pulse ? scary !
The PM is a first experience for me and this device works .. wonders ...

Hi. I had my dual chamber pacer fitted almost 3 years ago. I am a sports person and couldnt wait to get going again. Be patient as you will be able to resume as normal again. I have the same problem now,and in fact was in hospital last week with a vein block. I now have to take blood thinners to make sure the block eases as it is exactly where the leads are. Just look after yourself. Things will get better

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.
