This is my fourth time going into atrial flutter! I've had 3 cardioversions and it has not been working so instead I'm going to have a catheter ablation in order to try get rid of the flutter! I can definitely feel the diffrence from not having the flutter and having it. Compared to before I had more energy and more awake. Now being in Atrial flutter it feels as if I've been more tired. I'm not sure if thats a side effect of having atrial flutter ,but something is making me really tired lately.
I'm also currently on Sotolol and Warfarin.
Wish me luck! I hope the catheter ablation goes smoothly! I will be getting the sometime this month and I will post how it goes after!

I get Atrial Flutter daily and have done for 20 years. ASlso, afib and ectopics., Have had about six cardioversions and three ablations. Unless you are very lucky, the ablation benefit doesn't last. Sorry. My cardio is recommending a PM. Totally dependant. But, he can't guarantee no more afib etc. I feel damned if I do and damned if I don't. Anyone been down that track?

You'll find good information and support on dailystrength.org Atrial fibrillation support group. Many members have/are dealing with atrial flutter, cardioversions, various medications and ablations.
I recently joined PaceMaker Club. My cardiologist on the basis of my zio patch results with pauses, is recommending a pacemaker. I've experienced asymptomatic bradycardia for many years. At this time I'm ambivalent re: the pacemker.
