I just joined, so I'm not sure how this club works. My primary concern is that I just had my first checkup after having this new pacemaker implanted in February. I know the nurse changed a few settings and now I seem to be getting short of breath really easy. I also have a tight feeling in my chest when inhaling. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I'll be calling my cardiologist tomorrow....

call them

If they changed the settings and now you have symptoms, they need to change it again. It's not uncommon to take a few tries to get it right. We're all different and no two of us have the same settings, so sometimes it's a bit of trial and error to find what works best.
Seems to be fixed

They did return it to the previous settings yesterday. It does seem to be back to normal. She had put it into a battery saving mode that she said helps if you are using overnight monitoring which I do not. The Boston Sci. employee thought this shouldn't have effected me either, but obviously it did! I still have a bit of tightness in my chest, but that could be from the Canadian wildfire smoke we had blow down our way last week.
You know you're wired when...
Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
Talk with your EP

Obviously something was changed. So I'd place a call with the EP and/or his nurse and find out what happened. Then request things be changed back. If they won't change it back to the previous settings, I'd want to know why.
