Thanks for prayers and comments. My surgery went well and I am now home and resting. My would seems awfully red. I have 4 layers of closures with glue on top. Does anyone have a picture on here of what your wound looked like post op?

I had dual chamber PM done ten days ago, first few days I think you are anxious as you don't know how you should feel following the implant, I had my loop recorder removed from chest at the same time, shame it doesn't go in same area, so two healing areas.
I think my worst part of op is when they send some volts from a computer which really felt weird, but apart from that and staying still for the duration, not too bad.
I had some flutters and pain but think that was all part of the healing process, you do have a foreign body in now and my wires were screwed into walls of heart, some wires attached by hooks.
But if this stops me collapsing without any notice plus injuries that has caused in the passed, it is a price to pay for that confidence.
Hope you continue to recover, take it easy which I know everyone is telling you, but I tried to do a bit too much and I knew about it, so listen to that body and give it time to heal, then life begins again.
welcome home

Glad to hear it went well, sooz. It's not uncommon to have layers of gauze, etc., covering the implantation site. For now, take it easy, follow your discharge orders, let time pass, and when you see your doctor next, things are likely to be much improved!
Thank you again!

goingtobewired...I prayed for you too! You have to change your name now! Haha! I tell my kids I am the Bionic Woman and expect superhuman strength soon. Roytheboy glad you are better now! I am definitely listening to my body. I had things to do this holiday weekend but decided no way Jose! knb123 thanks. I wish they had covered it up with something. It's just glue so I can see how ugly it is. The redness is down a bit today but my heart is real touchy. I dealt with tons of arrythmias for almost 30 years and lived with constant lows and highs when I stand. Yesterday heart seemed more normal. Today it is doing some freaky stuff. Me no like. goingtobe wired....get well quick!

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
