Getting ready for surgery

Well I take my husband on the 29th of this month to see the surgeon to secdule the date for the insertion of his ICD. We're both nervous as you know what. Him only being 43 and myself 35. I've always thought we'd be old and gray before we would have to deal with anything like this. But side by side we will get through this as always.

After the 29th you can continue your plans to get old and gray together.

Nervous is natural. No one wants surgery and I would be worried if you weren't nervous! We've all been through it....we understand.

I had mine fitted 30/5 ... I am 45 , have 3 kids and up to now been totally healthy .. I think you will continue to feel shock and vunerability for some time . I just think you have to be positive about it and follow all the advice . Reading these pages reminds you that there are lots of people in the same boat ,some younger ..
