Could anyone help I had a duel chamber PM fitted in January 2015. I've been in pain ever since. My scare is burning and stinging all the time the area round my PM is painful to touch. I can't lay on my left side. Or lay flat on my stomach. The pain and burning is to be getting worse. The area around my PM is swollen in the mornings. Is this normal. ð

If you have the form from the cardio department. Ring their number and speak. They will advise there and then. Peace of mind and advice, is what you need. They are 9/5 Mon/Fri. They are there to help us

I got mine in October 2013 and had that kind of experience too. I even developed a tendonitis on my left shoulder. Fortunately, after 11 months of suffering it started to subside and all the pain and discomfort were almost gone after a year of insertion. Just take extra patience in dealing with it and everything should be like normal again.
Thanks.

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.

HELLO I am not a medical person but I have had 2 Pacemakers and I do not think it is normal to be in that much pain and with swelling I would suggest a appt with your DR asap as it is not unheard of to have a infection this long after implant better to be safe than sorry Good luck Valerie
