I had Biotronik will be 2 weeks Tuesday, I was just sitting in chair watching TV, and such a syncope feeling came over me like none before, I thought my head was going to explode, then it just eased off. Anyone have this happen, I thought this would keep me from having syncope?

Went to ER this afternoon and the PacemakerTechnician changed my settings, so that it would be higher when sitting maybe this will help my passing out epsoides. He will follow up with me on 21th. Sure was a very scary epsoides today. Hope it helps, thanks for all comments, so new to this blog.
It may be the settings

Hi Hays Until you have had your first PM settings check-up it is difficult to advise you.
One explanation is that you had a very rapid fall in heart rate ( and possibly blood pressure ) . Most PMs have a " Rate Drop Response " feature which you may need switching on and this would help prevent the feeling in future.
A drop detection setting could typically kick in if it detects a drop of say 25 bpm , below a heart rate of 60 bpm and all happening within a minute
That is just one explanation. It is also possible that the problem is lead-related. You need to record the exact time that this happened ; get an appointment with your PM guru a.s.a.p. and he / she should be able to see what happened at that time and then decide whether it is a settings issue or not.
Best of luck
Ian

Glad that you were able to get back to the Technician so quickly. It is possible that you may need a few visits before the settings are optimum for you.
Best of luck and welcome to the PM club.

What's your diagnosis?

If you had neurocardiogenic syncope before the pacemaker was put in, the pacemaker can now only prevent your heart rate from dropping, but it can do nothing about the blood pressure drops that usually go with neurocardiogenic syncope. So, while you'll most likely no longer pass out completly, you might still experience symptoms from your blood pressure dropping. But this explanation really only applies to NCS patients.
Best wishes!
