I recently lost my wallet and it contained my ID card, identifying my model # and other information. Does anyone know how to go about getting another ID card, as I will be flying soon, and would like to have it to go through the metal detector.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Go online. Find Biotronic's website. There is a customer call service. Once they identify you they'll send out a new card - possibly express.
I have Medtronic. They replaced my card within a week. I didn't have the problem you have but they were still quick about it.
Last time through security at the airport they weren't concerned about the PM but that was before some of this other stuff going on. So it's always best to have the card in case someone gets excited. Actually I had more trouble with my CPAP than I did the PM. But you can never tell with airport security.

You could also contact the surgeon who put your pacemaker in. They can tell you what model was implanted and the ID number.
I fly every two weeks, both domestically and internationally. I simply tell them that I have a PM and they send me through the appropriate scanner. Worse case, you can always request a pat down instead of going through a scanner, both domestically and in Europe.

Surely your family doctor will have a copy or your regular pacemaker clinic.
I always forget to carry mine so the first thing I did was scanned it and make loads of coppies. There's spares in my car, my wife's car, my wallet, my wife's purse, my desk at work and by laptop case. I still end up without it more often than not though when I go out cycling :-(
Haven't needed card yet when flying

I have traveled extensively and I have never needed to show anyone my pacemaker card. I have tried but every time it seems security has just taken my word for it!

I'm a recent pm recipient. I took a picture with my iPhone and keep it in my photos and also in 'notes'. I may also try and put a copy in the address book under my information.
I always have my phone with me on walks and exercising.

I wouldn't be here if it were not for this amazing technology inside of me.

Depending on what unit you have implanted, check on line for a phone number and give them a call.
I have Biotronik and have been extremely impressed with their willingness to provide assistance when I call.
