Having a lot of dizzy spells throughout the day. Anyone else have this symptom after the surgery?

It's not uncommon. Are you getting enough fluids? It's easy to get dehydrated. Are you still on pain meds, many of them can cause dizziness. When in doubt, give your dr a call.

Let's see, you just had your chest cut open, been given medication to knock you out, now have a foreign object in your body, and you're concerned you're a little dizzy???
TraceyE is correct, you gotta watch the fluids. Water is best. You also have to give your body time to get the medication from the procedure out. That can take up to a week or longer for some people. While the implant procedure is quick, this isn't Mickey D's where you get things instantly. Give your body some time to adjust.

It could be the drug(s) they used to put you to sleep. A friend of mine just had a quadruple bypass and it took her 9 days to "come out of the fog" and her doc explained that everyone reacts to it differently, which makes sense.
However, just in case I would keep a journal of when you get dizzy (dates, times, duration, and what you were doing when it happened.)
And yes, I was dizzy for a very long time after having my pacer installed, but I was a complicated case.
If it doesn't improve, please call your doctor.
Take care,
Pookie

Thanks Pookie, I appreciate your time.
On the other hand, "Theknotguy" your comment wasn't helpful, compassionate or supportive. Not sure why you are even a member. What's with the "???" and the "Mickey D's" comments??? This support site is "Not" the place for you in my opinion!!

Never given pain meds. Just the occasional tylenol. I'll concentrate on the dehydration thing. Thanks Tracey!
