I just had my pacemaker implanted three weeks ago for vasovagal syncope. I never had issues with heart palpitations before and now I feel them fairly frequently. I had a couple of glasses of wine one evening and I had a lot of heart flutters the next morning. When I had my first device check, I told the nurse I had felt some fluttering sensations and she acted like it was nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I go back to have it reset?

You know you're wired when...
You play MP3 files on your pacer.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!

I wouldn't be too worried at this point. Part of the frustration of those early visits is the feeling we get that, "This is no big deal." ( Yaaawwwnnn from the tech.) Truth is, it probably isn't BUT these are all new sensations and feelings for us. I'm 14 months out from getting my first PM and I'm STILL getting use to new feelings, rhythms, and sensations.
Keep in mind that adjustments can take up to 2 weeks to get use to (that's what my doc told me). Also, watch how much you drink. Overdoing it causes some serious arrhythmias in most people. Depending on your problems, it may not be worth it. I'm at that point right now because it can usher in an aFib event for me (as can exertion in heat, too much sugar, or caffeine, etc). You'll find your triggers and your balance.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). I like to keep that in mind along the way.
