I just passed my pacemaker review 15 months after implant.
I am also T2 diabetic and I would like to share my success with that because it resulted in the loss of unwanted 22 KGs.
My new diabetes specialist wanted to get me off 130 units per day insulin injections and on to tablets and he did it with diet in one week. My diet is now No Major Carbs and extra veg. and has been for nearly a year.
I have bought an electric boosted pedal trike and been using it for the last few weeks. The trike is a conversation starter and it can carry up to 30 KG payload and the electric boost gives me lots of "Bang for my peddaling buck".
Most importantly the trike is useful and has a good exercise component and the electric boost irons out hills so there is no exercise overload.
So that is what I bring to the table: weight loss without counting anything or feeling hungry and exercise with a use and a fun factor.
I am happy to supply more detail if anyone is interested.

My diet

Hello Rolson,
My diet is easy it is no major carbs and eat anything else
.
No sugars of any kind, no grain related products, no potato or sweet potato, limited fruit and definitely no grapes or dried fruit.
Make the quantity up that you want to eat up with extra veg.
To make it work tho, I needed to learn to cook with almond meal and coconut flour in place of wheat flour.
There is plenty of lo carb recipes on the net. The bread replacements are duds but you can have cakes made from nut flours and fake sugar..
You have to make a hobby out of cooking lo carb to get you zoned in, then it is easy. When you have lost enough weight start adding some major carbs to maintain your weight.
No carb counting no serving size counting no calorie counting it is too easy.
You know you're wired when...
Intel inside is your motto.

Congrats, I am so happy for you. You have worked hard and I am proud of you. Please supply more information regarding your diet. I would love to safely lose the 30 lbs I gained while sitting waiting for surgery and eating away my fears. I am great now and want to do it slow and easy. Especially the easy part.
