FitBit HR Charge

I received a new FitBit HR and was wondering if anyone has been using a fitbit and has it affected your heart rate, as in causing your pacer to race. Glad to have found this group. I'm on pacer #2 so I'm not new to having one....just new to the FitBit.
Appreciate any comments you might offer.
Thanks,
nansea

Fitbits are not a problem. I don't have one but others have mentioned before. No problems.

I've had a One for several years. Nothing about it has any ability to affect the pm.

You may find that the HR part is inaccurate. While the fitbit can't affect the pm, the pm can mess with many of the heart rate monitors out there.

Just got my Fitbit HR a couple of days ago. Have been on the treadmill and it works great for me. Love it !

I have had a fibit charge hr for @ 1 month, no problems. It is not close enough to the pacemaker to interfere.

I used a Fitbit prior to my implant with no issues. Once i had my pacemaker installed the Fitbit battery would suddenly drain. Typically within an hour. To test this I had my daughter charge and wear it. She did not have a problem. Only when I used it did it have a problem. I'm looking in to other fitness trackers to see if I have the same issues.

Me too?

I am also interested in a Fitbit or similar with HR monitoring. Based on what I have read, there is no issue with interaction with PM as it uses optical technology to monitor blood flow which it then uses to calculate HR. My question is how accurate are the HR measurements? No point having one if the readings are inaccurate or inconsistent.

I was just given a Fitbit Charge HR for a Christmas present from my son. I have a PM fitted just over five weeks ago and am a little nervous about wearing it. Can anybody help with their experiences

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
