Heart Rate Monitor

I just had my pacemaker adjusted and need to use a heart rate monitor for my cardio exercise. Any recommendations as what would be doable. I do not think a bluetooth unit would work but curious.

Thank you

............It seems to me that different HRMs react differently to different people....and always have...I am fine with Polar and Cardiosport ...but expect sqewed readings when wearing neckwear...especially Pacemaker neckwear...no HRMs will mess with your PM..

I have found that my Polar FT7 works great! I am now searching for one without a chest strap. If anyone has the wrist only type that works, I would be interested. I tried the Mio Alpha and it was way off in spinning class. I read later that for biking, you need to wear it higher on your arm as the wrist movement interferes. Maybe that was my mistake. I may look into the FitBit.

I agree with previous post seems like everyone I talk to has differing experience I have used , since getting pacer, a Polar, garmin , bontrager, and another I forget name of. Had nothing but trouble with polar, garmin was good and bontrager is fine. All I have used will double at times, but this happens with or with out pacer to some folks. I never had double before pacer myself but know those who have. I might add my polar was back in 07 so newer ones probably are better.

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
