I had bradycardia, and I had my pm implanted on 11-20-14. Although I felt better immediately, it takes several days and even weeks before your body adjusts to a steady and increased heart rate and proper blood flow. You may even experience, as I am, an improved quality of life by being able to do more and do it easier than ever before. My bradycardia progressed sloooooowly over several years and now that I am battery-operated, I can do anything I want and I don't have to stop every 2 minutes for a 30 minute rest break. Sunshinewishes has a very good post (above) and I hope you continue to improve. Finally, it takes the brain awhile to take it all in and to accept the fact that no matter how well you take care of yourself, you needed a pacemaker and this is your new normal.

I had my pm done on 1/21 and it has taken some time to get used to. I still have an arrhythmia that seems to be getting somewhat better as time goes on. Last week I ask my doctor the same thing about the lightheaded feeling and he told me to stop and drink a glass of water. And to make sure I carry water around with me. It really did help. I was also feeling out of breath and really disappointed because I thought the pm would help with that. He prescribed some Xanax for anxiety. After chatting with runningmama I decided to try it. It helped with the whole breathing thing. I think I was just anxious ect.
Even though I went wireless ( no incisions) it has still taken time to get moving as much as I would like. Not because of pain but I think my brain and body just need to adjust. It does get better.

I got my pacemaker on Thursday, 2-5-15, this morning I felt lightheaded for about half an hour. Going to see how it goes until Monday and hoping it gets better.
