Has any member been advised that the use of a MacBook pro retina laptop or an I-pad may interfere with pace- maker functions. The quick start instructions suggest that medical advice should be sought on this matter. This is only apparent after the goods have been purchased and the box opened.
There is some inconclusive discussion on the web about interference from I-pads if operated too close to an implanted pace-maker.

I've got a s-icd which is similar to pacemaker and As someome said above, dont fall asleep with it on you but as for interference, I tend to rest the ipad on my chest and my sicd is implanted at the left side of my chest, had no problems since, holding your phone close to your pacemaker/sicd is known to cause interferance and also xbox/playstation controllers!

Just don't fall asleep with it on your chest, anything else is fine. I read in bed all the time with my tablet in it's magnetic case propped on my chest. There are virtually no home electronics we need to be careful of. Most things likely to cause problems are commercial/industrial.
