You know you're wired when...

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
Pain Level !!

Hi Debbie,
I had 2 pairs of leads until last year. My initial pair were left chest & my 2nd pair were right chest. A year ago because of infection my right leads were removed and did not experience much pain. I did suffer more mental pain as my initial leads could not be removed as they were implanted in 1990.
As I'm on my 6th pacemaker and have been very fortunate in having very skilled surgeons over the years, I've also had restoration done on my original left chest site. Having my 4th pacemaker implanted in my right chest I had double pain from both sites but no (nerve stabbing) pain.
As I'm not blessed with lots of fat & muscle in my chest area, I'm now housing my 6th pacemaker in my right lower abdomen with new leads going from my groin to my heart and what a relief !! That whole procedure was by far the least painfull but "Skill" is the magic word. I had a top International Known Surgeon do this implant.
I can well remember my 1st implant where I suffered electrical stabbing shocks from nerve damage, not pleasant !! Hope you heal fast !!
