Hi group,
3 weeks before the insertion of my pacemaker my cardiologist has decided to become a private doctor and no longer accept health insurance. He was my 5th electro cardiologist.
I am at my whits end, we finally found a doctor who didn't write of a 25 year old with hypoxic seizures, syncope, extreme fatigue and lethargy and then we hit another barrier. We tried medication, stockings, salts, and have had every test in the book. Alas, still symptomatic on pretty much a daily basis.
Can anyone recommend an electro cardiologist with experience of symptomatic bradycardia/sick sinus anywhere on the eastern seaboard? We live in the Carribean but we have united insurance, it's pretty much universally accepted within the states.
Our local doctor is searching with us too, but I thought I would ask you guys (the experts) with first hand experience.
So many thanks in advance.

There are amazing heart hospitals in Miami and Jacksonville, both should be easy flights from the Caribbean. There is a Cleveland Clinic in Weston now, it's easily accessible from Miami or Fort Lauderdale airports. I don't have any names, but those are the places here people are most likely to travel to if they can't get the care they need locally. My dr is in Palm Beach Gardens, nearest airport is West Palm Beach and we're about an hour from Miami. I love him and would be happy to give you his name, but Cleveland Clinic or one of the big Miami practices might be a better choice.

Seems like a travel stretch, but mine is good. He didn't dismiss a 34 year old healthy person with heart block.
