Post 8 weeks

Well I'm now post 8 weeks, so far all is well, next month I will be going for my first interrogation. I have a couple of questions. Has anyone used the VA to do their interrogation, and if you have, what are your thoughts. Second, does the person who does the interrogation make any changes necessary on their own, or do they confer with your cardiologist. Finally, any feed back as to what I can expect on this first visit would be appreciated.

No, my pacemaker was not implanted at the VA, I was on vacation fishing when I fainted 3 times, and was taken to Mayo Clinic, where it was determined I needed a PM. Unfortunately, Mayo is about a 7 hour drive for me, so finding someone local to work with is ideal. Since I have a VA hospital within 10 miles from me, I'm thinking I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I could use them to do the interrogation, and I could also use their cardiologist (EP). If I went to a private location, I would then need to find a local EP who I could also take over my case. I spoke with those at the VA and they did tell me they could Fax my information to my EP at Mayo if I wanted to continue to use my original EP as my as my Dr. Thank-you for your insight.

at first my icd was done by a private doctor. after a while i decided to change to the va. my private doctor became unavailable so i switched. the va took over and started to monitor my icd. they did avery thorough job! I was surprised at how much information they gave me! their care is very good and they also replaced my old icd with a fresh one. when i leave Ann Arbor VA i feel that my care has improved 100% and i am really glad i went there.
