After having a replacement pacemaker surgery done, do u have to stay in the hospital over night? Or does that depend on the person and how the procedure goes?

No need for overnight stay

I went home the same day after my initial PM implant. A replacement is an even simpler procedure as leads are already in place. There is absolutely no need for an overnight stay!

They only keep us if if we get a new lead. Just doing the box, you should be headed home as soon as you're awake and alert again. I've had an early appointment and been home fixing my own lunch after two of my three replacements. And I left for vacation less than a week later both times, also. Recovery is much faster than the first time.
thank u

went in 9am home by 5pm for box only replacement, this was done under local anaesthetic, so did not have to stay over night. Good Luck
