I'm just a bit over a week recovering from getting my pacemaker implanted. Most of the last few days I'm only aware of the pacemaker because it was fairly traumatic of the realization that I needed one at the age of 26, but that's not my question.
Sometimes after light activity I feel an intense pressure on my upper chest. No arm, jaw, or back pain. It fades over the next ten minuets decreasing in severity. No big deal? I've been feeling it for the last few days and just figured it was adjusting to leads in my heart and I'd mention it to the doc on my appointment this Thursday for my two week check up.
But the last few nights have been hellish. Laying down to go to sleep I feel like a large elephant is sitting on my upper chest and neck. No jaw, arm, or back pain. No dizziness or lightheaded ness, just an intense pressure and throbbing sensation with the feeling like I'm not getting enough air. It goes on even for another ten minuets when I get up. My husband and I are concerned and we don't know what to do.
Should I go to the hospital? Call my doctor?
Thoughts? Advice? Suggestions?

Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, pressure in chest, yep, its time to go the hospital!
Hope everything works out well for you.
Thanks

Thank you everyone for your advice. I really appreciate it.
I took everyone's advice and went to the ER. Thankfully they took my symptoms seriously. After much testing and all day in the hospital, it turns out I have pneumonia.
Thank God for antibiotics.
Thank you everyone for you advice.
You know you're wired when...
You have rhythm.
