Asthma & Pacemaker

I've had chronic asthma for 50 years, using Ventoline about 10 times per day on poor days. Play golf twice a week and many other sports without too much problem.
I thought my asthma caused me to breathe badly, but then after fainting on the golf course, the doctors found my heart beat too low and installed a pacemaker. 2 weeks later I can walk about but breathing is laborious, Ventoline helps but not as well as before.
Any one out there with similar conditions? Comments and advice would be welcome.

Asthmatics tend to assume that attacks of breathlessness are always caused by their asthma so grab the Ventolin for yet another puff . An underlying bradycardia or inadequate PM setting can complicate things because the symptom is the same ; breathlessness !

It is just possible that Ventolin isn"t working as well as before because asthma is not the cause of your present symptoms. Make sure that your PM settings are right for you !
