I'm still healing and I'm worried about everything healing well. I enitialy felt a bump where the pacemaker was placed above the incision line. Now it's almost gone and the little I can feel is directly on the incision or below it. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

They tend to settle in over the first year. Not feeling the bump is good, right? Sounds to me like it's healing well.
Just say no to infections

I can assure you that I have not been overtly touching my device. However gently placing my palm over the swollen area I did feel where it was. I live in rural Alaska and am more then aware of how. To keep wounds clean. Where we are it's mostly at home do it yourself after care. Lots of hand washing and hand sanitizer. We usually end up taking out our own stitches. My medical preparedness kit takes up an entire closet. My incision is almost invisible. I spoke with my surgeons nurse today and have set up my one month follow up for fine tuning. Thank you everyone for your advice and sharing your experiences.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.

Initially could see it clearly; probably swelling from the incision and having something stuffed under my skin. Now, four months afterward, can feel it if I press in the area just below the scar, but really don't notice it otherwise.
