Good morning. I got my PM in August of this year. I have felt GREAT!!! The past couple days, I have been sore at the site. Any feedback?
Also, with winter coming, does static electricity affect the PM?
Thank you!

sore pocket

As knotguy said, watch for signs of infection just in case, but odds are you did something to aggravate it. Sometimes I have to think about it to figure out what, but I can almost always pinpoint something I did to cause it. New things at the gym, shoveling snow, the night my sister and I stayed up way too late boxing on the Wii.
Thank you!

Thank you both for your comments. Really eased my mind. Yes, I have increased my exercise and am so happy I can do so! I have started doing "some" free weights, and that may be the cause. Also stretching with bands. I think it's the stretching that did it. Good call! Wish I did have a Wii. ;(. Maybe for Christmas?
I definitely will send out good thoughts to both of you.

ice

Sounds like that's the culprit! If it's aggravated, ice should calm it down. Take a few days off until it feels better, then try doing less, ease back into it.
You need a Wii!! My sister and I got the biggest kick out of punching each other in the head over and over lol.

I've never had a problem with my model.
As for static

You don't have to worry about static. It travels on the outside of the body so wouldn't affect the PM. It will give you a nasty shock, but it has very low amperage so still no affect to the PM. I'm around a lot of electrical equipment when volunteering in the woodshop. No problems with my PM.
I'll attach a link to the Medtronic PDF that goes into detail about electrical equipment. Based on personal experience they come down on the conservative side. But since they're based in the US where anyone can sue anybody at anytime for anything I can understand their conservatism.

As for your PM pocket hurting that depends upon what you've been doing. At your stage - approximately 90 days in, I could lay the wrong way at night and have my PM pocket hurt the next day. I could also take a short 1+ mile walk and have the PM pocket hurt. It just depends. You would be doing something you wouldn't think would bother the PM pocket, but it would remind you the next day.
If you're running a fever, the PM pocket is extra hot, the PM pocket is red, or very sore to the touch, then you have to worry. In that case you'll want to get it checked out.
At five months I started to get real active, my PM pocket would sometimes ache but I attributed that to my increased activity. Sometimes it would feel like the PM was a sharp disk and it would hurt all around the PM. I'm sure it was just stretching. So sometimes increased activity will result in your PM pocket hurting the next day(s).
I have a Medtronic too. They are great pieces of equipment. It's really improved the quality of my life.
Your profile says you like to walk. Took my son's dogs out yesterday. (The ones who stayed with me when I collapsed.) We did 2 1/2 miles in the AM. Played tug and ball, had lunch, more tug and ball, then did 2 1/2 miles in the PM. Everyone slept good Friday night.
When you're out on your next hike, please send good thoughts my way.
Hang in there. Life gets better.
