First pacer clinic appt today. Nurse says" Oh, you have the new Biotronik Eluna!" Think I am one of the first at this practice. All the parameters were fine. Had them crank up the base rate from 50 to 60 because I was still getting a few fast double beats followed by a pause. Thought is the timing was a bit slow and my heart was trying to compensate. Doc said everything looked good. No restrictions. See you in six months. The whole process has gone pretty smoothly. I am VERY glad I had the pacer put in to fix SND. I feel better and am sleeping better. May take a few days for me to assess the changes due to raising base rate to 60. Can't wait to get out jogging again.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
Good news

Sounds like you are doing quite well. Every so often I do read where the pacer has been set to 50, but the norm is 60 it seems. Mind you, I'm sure your docs did that for a reason. And isn't being able to sleep almost like winning the lottery - LOL.
All the best,
