Have been hospitalized now. Its 6 weeks after implant and have a bad infection all around implant site. Chest hot swelled red no one knows why this long after surgery. Putting bags of antibiotic in me to try and stop it.

4 days iv antibiotics and testing to see infection inside. Looks some better depending on if it is infected inside will be transferred to Vanderbilt university medical for removal and clear up sounds to be a big 2week of surgeries and the fact I don't have any natural heartbeat now. Hoping its not inside.

I hope you guys get well soon, I too had a pocket infection two years ago, by the VA hospital. Was a long process at a private hospital but I got thru it, with a new CRT-d on the now right side. Try to stay positive u guys.. I hope for a speedy recovery for u all.

Transferred to Vanderbilt university heart surgery today to pull every thing out drain infection and a new unit on right side. Probably be put on temporary for a few days

I TOO HAVE IMPLANT SITE INFECTION I AM BEING TREATED BY THE VA HOSPTIAL HAD PACEMAKER IMPLANT ALMOST 5 WEEKS 3 DAYS AGO IT GOT RED AND VERY SWOLLEN THEY GAVE ME ORAL ANTIBOITICS AND SENT ME HOME. I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE TREATED ME INTRAVENEOUS WILL SEE IF ORAL WORKS . HOPE BOTH OF OUR TREATMENTS WORKS GOOD LUCK
