I recently had my 4th pacemaker insertion and am having severe pain in my elbow while bending it and flexing it. Never had this issue before. I Don't have any signs or symptoms of infection. Anybody else have this issue.

I've only had my pacemaker since Dec2012 but I've never experienced this type of achy, radiating pain until it was implanted. Mine is in the inside from my arm pit down to my elbow and is really irritating. It only flares up maybe once or twice a month, in my case. I hope you feel better soon and it gets taken care of. Keep us posted, please!

elbow pain

Hi,
It is strange that you mention this because about 2 weeks before my syncope episodes I was doing some strength training and noticed a pain in my left elbow just like you describe. I thought it was nothing and tried to ignore it but it never went away so I started doing some research online. I was sitting on my couch googling "elbow pain" on my phone and was reading about how it was probably tennis elbow and to not do the things that caused it for 2-3 weeks and it was at the very moment I fainted and my husband called 911. I had another episode about 10 minutes later when I was walking down the hall to my bedroom. He called 911 again and this time they came out. I mentioned my elbow pain to them but they didn't think it had anything to do with my fainting. Since I refused to go to the ER they told me to get to a doc asap. I called the next day and saw the doc the following day. She had me do a bunch of tests and they found the right ventricle of my heart was enlarged and told me to see a cardiologist. That led to more tests and the diagnosis of 2nd degree Mobitz type II heart block and then a pacemaker implant 5 days later.
Neither doc thought my elbow pain was connected to my heart block nor did they seem to think it was serious. I still have it 6 months later, although not as bad. I have not done any more research and I highly doubt it has anything to do with my pacer but feel in time I need to pursue getting it checked out further.
Since yours started after your implant and mine before it's hard to say if they are the same thing but you are the first person I have heard mention a pain like this and I find it interesting that we both have pacers.
Good luck to you. I hope it gets better and if you find out anything, please let me know.
Take care
~Sheila
