New Pacemaker

Just had a new pacemaker inplanted on Thursday June 26

Old St. Jude one was out of Battery. The new one Boston Scientific is suppose to be a dual accelometer & ventilator response device. I ahve tried exersizing and heart rate stays at 60 bpm. My old device sensed arm motion and raised my rate. For some reason the device does not

CLS (closed loop stimulation) is not of interest here as this is a totally different rate response sensor.

What you have now, Greg, is a blended sensor, if both the accelerometer and the minute ventilation sensor are switched on. If it doesn't react at all when you exercise, I'd first question, if the rate response has been activated. If it hss been activated, then I'd ask whether both sensors have been switched on; the minute ventilation sensor alone will react very slowly. Both switched on, but still no reaction, then you need to have the settings tweaked. I think it can be a bit tricky with the Boston Scientific blended sensor, because you need to program different parameters for each sensor. To get them work together perfectly might need some time/several tweakings.

I too have a Boston Scientific with rate response. It was not turning on until my 2 week or so checkup. I think they wanted to get the basics settled first.
